Hi, my name is Freya, and I am currently a Game Art 3D Student.
My dream is to somehow get into the gaming industry like almost everyone else, but with a focus on foliage and environment art. There’s something special about that, I think. I somehow always loved looking at Plants in Games, whether realistic or stylized, both fascinated me a lot. Especially when stylized plants have real thought and planning behind them, like how this plant “behaves” and why it looks the way it does through evolution. I could really yap about plants all Day.
But aside from that, I’m also a big fan of props in games, especially food. It always looks so insanely good and delicious. I’d always want to recreate it right away. I think that’s the direction my journey will go in.
But it’s not only the 3D stuff that inspires me, because that’s not how I started my artistic “career.” Like most people, I started with physical painting as a kid. And when I bought my first iPad (which is still holding up after almost 6 years), the first thing I did was get Procreate and just start drawing, even with my finger at first because my iPad Pencil delivery was delayed.
But the dedication was there and it still is.
Especially when I make something for someone, it makes me even happier to work on it and motivates me. That’s what kind of drives me, making art for others and, yes, also getting the credit for it.
